Advisory Issued for Daytona Beach Shores, Wilbur-By-the-Sea

Volusia County, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health in Volusia County (DOH-Volusia) has issued a water quality advisory for the following locations:

Dunlawton Avenue Beach Vehicle Ramp
Daytona Beach Shores, FL 32127

Toronita Avenue Beach Park
4200 S. Atlantic Ave.
Wilbur-By-the-Sea, FL 32127

Tests completed on February 17, 2026, indicate that the water quality at the Dunlawton Avenue Beach Ramp and at Toronita Avenue Beach Park does not meet the recreational water quality criteria for Enterococcus bacteria recommended by the Florida Department of Health.

DOH-Volusia advises against any water-related activities at these locations due to an increased risk of illness in swimmers. Sampling conducted during regular water quality monitoring showed that the level of bacteria exceeds the level established by state guidelines. Test results are available at FloridaHealth.gov/HealthyBeaches.
