DOH-Volusia Epidemiology and Environmental Health staff routinely partner with other state, local, and regional agencies and personnel to investigate illness outbreaks associated with food and water consumption and recreational water use. The investigation is conducted to determine the source of the outbreak, prevent further spread of disease, and identify ways to prevent future occurrences.
