Community Health Planning

The health of a community is determined by the physical, mental, spiritual, and social well-being of all community residents. Achieving such a complex state of being requires engagement of the community and an understanding of the complex determinants for each aspect of health.

The Florida Department of Health in Volusia County actively engages the county's citizens and stakeholders in assessing and planning to improve the health of the community. Current health improvement plans include:
