New Smyrna Beach, Fla. — To increase access to back-to-school shots, the Department of Health in Volusia County will offer vaccinations at the Babe James Community Center home of the City of New Smyrna’s popular Summer Fun Camp.

No or low-cost vaccinations will be offered from 4 to 6 p.m., June 24, July 8 and July 22, at the community center located at 201 N. Myrtle Ave., New Smyrna Beach.

Before a parent may obtain their child’s Volusia County school schedule, they must provide proof of up-to-date immunizations for a student entering kindergarten or 7th grade. New students enrolling in Volusia County schools must also be current on immunizations.

Parents are encouraged to bring shot records with them when requesting immunizations.

To ensure children are ready to start the school year, the Florida Department of Health in Volusia County offers multiple vaccination events throughout the summer and via appointments at our DOH locations. For more information on immunizations, please visit volusiahealth.com or call (386) 274-0509.
