By Holly Smith

January 12, 2017

Daytona Beach, Fla. - The Department of Health (DOH) in Volusia County has proposed its strategic priorities through 2019. Before the 2017-2019 DOH-Volusia Strategic Plan is finalized, the agency would like input from the community.

The plan and comment section are online at volusiahealth.com. The deadline to provide input is Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017.

Strategic issues that are the focus of the plan are healthy moms and babies, long, healthy life, readiness for emerging health threats, effective agency processes, and access to care.

Patricia Boswell, DOH-Volusia’s administrator, initiated the 2017-2019 Strategic Plan after joining the agency in March 2016 to ensure local efforts focus on issues and challenges faced in Volusia County.
