Women's Cancer Prevention Presentations

Volusia County, Fla. - In April, the Florida Department of Health (DOH) in Volusia County will host three public presentations on the importance of breast and cervical cancer screenings. The “for Peace of Mind” presentations are from:

  • 1 to 4 p.m., Fri., April 22, at Access Flagler First 2016, at the Cattlemen’s Hall at the Flagler County Fairgrounds, 150 Sawgrass Road, Bunnell.
  • 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sat., April 23, at the Family Source Health Fair, 844 W. Plymouth Ave., DeLand.
  • 6 to 7 p.m., Tues., April 26, at the Alonzo ‘Babe’ James Community Center, 201 N. Myrtle Ave., New Smyrna Beach.

Discussion also will include information on low- or no-cost screening exams for eligible women age 50-64. Program applications will be available on site and are online at volusiahealth.com.

Presentations are provided by DOH-Volusia’s Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program. Community groups interested in hosting a presentation should call DOH-Volusia.
