Volusia County - Women's Cancer Prevention Presentations

Volusia County, Fla. - In March, the Florida Department of Health (DOH) in Volusia County will host four, free public presentations on the importance of regular breast and cervical cancer screenings. The presentations are:
1 p.m., Wed., March 16, at the Chisholm Community Center, 520 S. Clara Ave., DeLand.
1:30 p.m., Mon., March 21, at the Ormond Beach Library, Room 4, 30 S. Beach Street, Ormond Beach.
1:30 p.m., Wed., March 24, at the DOH-Flagler County, 301 Dr. Carter Blvd., Bunnell.
6 p.m., Thurs., March 31, at the Alonzo ‘Babe’ James Community Center, 201 N. Myrtle Ave., New Smyrna Beach.
Discussion also will include information on free screening exams for eligible women age 50-64. Applications for exams will be accepted on site.

Presentations are provided by DOH-Volusia’s Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program. Community groups interested in hosting a presentation should call DOH-Volusia.
