Cancer Survivor/Wellness Coach to Share Life Lessons

By CHD64 Public Information Office

February 29, 2016

Ormond Beach - Cancer survivor. Caregiver. Coach. They’re all titles attributed to nationally renown speaker Bill Baun. He will share his inspiring story from 8:30 to 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 16, at the Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center, 399 U.S. 1, Ormond Beach. The event is free and open to the public.

A wellness consultant with Houston’s MD Anderson Cancer Center, Baun speaks around the nation as an industry advocate and ambassador. Surviving stage four prostate cancer and then becoming a caregiver for his wife when she was diagnosed with breast cancer have served as a foundation for his journey toward wellness. Baun and his wife, MaryBeth, encourage individuals and groups to plan and implement programs and activities to coach cancer patients and caregivers.

The seminar is hosted by the Fun Coast Worksite Wellness Council (FCWWC), which includes 27 government, non-profit, educational and for-profit institutions partnering to improve the health and wellness of employees in Volusia and Flagler Counties.
