Professor of pediatrics, director, Child Maternal Health Program, Colorado Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute, and scientific director of the Perinatal Research Center at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Aurora, Colorado, Dr. Hay discusses how growth rate in the preterm infant must be carefully managed, and the pitfalls of undernutrition or overnutrition.

Participants in this presentation will have a better understanding of the preterm infant’s protein and calorie needs.
