Brenda Poindexter, MD, MS

Professor of pediatrics at Cincinnati Children’s Medical Center, and director of clinical and translational research for the Perinatal Institute, Dr. Poindexter will review the incidence and risk factors associated with postnatal growth failure in extremely premature infant.

Dr. Poindexter will discuss the association between nutritional support, growth, and neurodevelopmental outcomes.

She will also examine nutritional requirements and nutritional interventions that can be made in the clinic to promote optimal growth and neurodevelopmental outcomes for these infants.
