Benjamin Juengst, Community Health
Benjamin Juengst currently serves as the community health manager with the Florida Department of Health in Volusia County.
In his role, he provides oversight of dental services, disease control, public health preparedness, performance management and workforce development, and health promotion including the Florida Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program and the Tobacco Free Florida Volusia County Partnership.
Benjamin started with the Florida Department of Health in 1996 and has worked at county health departments in Volusia, Flagler, and Martin counties. During this period, Benjamin served as an environmental specialist, environmental health director, epidemiology director, business manager, dental manager and in administrative roles overseeing multiple program areas.
Benjamin holds a bachelor of arts degree in environmental/organismal biology from State University of New York (SUNY) College at New Paltz and a master of public health degree from the University of South Florida. Benjamin has also been a registered sanitarian since 1999.
